Apple Cider Spritz

4 October

I recently came across a recipe on Pinterest and it inspired me to try a new cocktail to celebrate the first inklings of fall. I didn’t want to outdo my affinity for Aperol Spritz, so we’re putting those on hold for now and will be sipping on (we’ll call it…) Apple Cider Spritz instead. I ended up tweaking the recipe a bit to suit my palette a bit better and love how fresh and flavorful it turned out.

Like most drinks approved by me (refreshingly sweet/flavors canceling out the alcohol…), you can only have one or two before calling it quits. It’s like cider…you’re asking for a headache if you overdo it. I like to find recipes that have few ingredients for ease and time sake, so if you’re a newbie in the culinary cocktail world like me, you’ll appreciate this! It’s also nice for upcoming get together to have a few ingredients out for guests to throw together themselves. So cheers to humpday and many more entertaining posts to come this season!

Serving for 2

2 Ounces of Gin (I used Hendrick’s)
.75 ounces of fresh lemon juice
4 ounces of apple juice or apple cider
4 ounces of ginger beer, chilled
1 apple (garnish)
ground nutmeg (garnish)

Combine gin, lemon juice and apple juice in a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake well and pour into glasses filled with ice.
Top with ginger beer, stir and garnish with an apple slice and a dash or two of nutmeg.

sounds so good and I don’t even like gin! I have to try this

Honestly, I wouldn’t say *I like* gin, but a few cocktails I’ve tried (usually with cucumber or some sort of refreshing fruit) you can’t taste any alcohol which is why I like them. 🙂

Yum, this sounds so good and perfect for the season. I’ll have to give it a try. Thanks!
Also, looking forward to more entertaining posts. Those are some of my favorites 🙂

It’s so good! It tastes just like apple cider but with a little twist (the ginger beer makes it taste so refreshing) More entertaining post to come! xx

Yum yum yum! I’m doing a sips round up for fall and will definitely include this recipe!

Aw, thanks lady! I love your cocktail/dessert round ups, they’re the cutest!

Want to make this, ready for fall! I always find its difficult to find apple cider on the west coast or maybe its just LA. On the east coast, its everywhere! Yum!

Oh, really! So interesting. Well this recipe is super easy! I hope you enjoy xx

That sounds absolutely delicious! Pinning now so I remember to make it this season (once it actually cools down a bit in Texas haha)!

Let me know what you think once you try it! xx
