Last week I was invited to Central Kitchen for a 5 course meal and beer pairing with MillerCoors. Being a big time fan of Blue Moon (when I drink beer, I love super light + refreshing) and a lover of Central Kitchen (and their sister restaurant, Flour + Water), I was so excited to attend. My good friend Charlotte came with me, so after work on Wednesday we headed to the Mission.
I was so impressed with the absolutely beautiful setting they created for the event — it was so thoughtfully styled and everyone was so welcoming and lovely. I haven’t been attending many events lately with work being so busy, but I am definitely excited to start making time for stuff like this. It’s such a breath of fresh air to meet and get to know locals who are creative and inspired by similar things.
We cracked open a beer, mingled, and enjoyed small bites before sitting down for dinner. The menu + beer tasting was fantastic, I even took the menu home to save because it was so delicious. Here’s what we had:
Course #1: Salmon Crudo paired with Blue Moon Belgium White w/ herbs/flowers/chile
Course #2: Charred Octopus paired with Pilsner Urquell
Course #3 Toasted Wheat Agnolotti Dal Plin paired with Leinenkugel’s Oktoberfest
Course #4 Braised Pork Shoulder & Oyster paired with Big Eddy Uber-Oktoberfest
Course #5 Figs & Caramelized Whey paired with Crispin Reserve The Saint
The dessert was. ah. maz. ing.
Such a fun time, thanks for inviting me MillerCoors! x
