Plaid and checkered pieces always make me want to pack up and road-trip to Tahoe. Bundle up with a piping hot coffee in the mornings, snow adventures by day, and sit by the fire each night–all decked in checks and messy mountain hair. I love how they are a little boxy and masculine and are the perfect juxtapose teamed with a chic pair of boots. I recently picked up this jacket pictured and wore it all weekend and felt so fall-cozy (also ordered this because more is more sometimes). They bring a little tomboy to the table, and I am all about that this time of year. Matt gave me about 5 compliments when I wore it, too, which is funny because he dislikes some of my more feminine things (like breezy sleeve tops and jumpsuits) but always praises the more easy, manly pieces. Men are weird…
