Delighted to share with you the start of our family's holiday decor collection. Matt and I bought our home a year ago from this week and when we moved, let go of some of the decor we had collected while younger and decided to start fresh. We kept things super minimal last year (out of intention and also... morning sickness haha!) — I actually enjoyed a bare, twinkle-lit tree! I held out for 2021, as I knew it would be a much more magical one with Grace here.
I bought a bevy of neutral/gold hued bulbs as the color theme of the tree and plan to let Grace pick out 1 ornament every year. She can add whatever she likes... bringing color and personality to the table, just like her!
Let me tell you, I have gone to town lately. Having a daughter has me looking forward to holidays so much more than usual! I cannot wait to witness the magic of the season through her eyes. She is def a product of me and is obsessed with lights... she is going to beam.
