This weekend my girlfriends and I decided to plan a staycation in San Francisco to treat ourselves and indulge in wine and relaxation without having to go too far. I’ve seen such beautiful photos from The Palace and have heard such great things, so it was an easy decision to make! The chandeliers strung along the Garden Court were seriously breathtaking.
It’s amazing how much history repletes the walls of this place, it’s all original 1909 architecture, but newly interior designed as of September. Have you been? I already want to go back! We arrived on Friday night and popped some champagne before getting ready for dinner at their restaurant, the Pied Piper. Dinner was delicious and was followed by red wine in the garden. I had my camera with me so couldn’t resist capturing the beauty all around us. We ended up finishing a bottle quite quickly (no surprise there), and headed back to our room and watch TV and lounge.
Saturday morning we spent our time on the couch in robes, made coffee, and soaked in all the beautiful natural light that flooded into the room and bounced off the pretty chandelier. We wanted to spend a little time by the pool before the end of our stay, so enjoyed a quick dip and headed back to the room to prep for breakfast. The pool area is ridiculously gorgeous… my photos hardly do it justice!
We were so excited to experience the Garden Court in the daylight, as we’d fallen in love with that room the night before. The food at brunch was impeccable- crab eggs benny, banana bread french toast, and a fried egg on a croissant. They also offer their signature high tea on Saturdays which I will be coming back for some of that soon! Such a good idea for a girlfriend brunch/catchup! I love planning staycations like this to just feel like I am out of the city, relaxing, and soaking in some place new. We had such a great time, and can’t wait to come back to The Palace again in the future.
