A Piece of Paris in San Francisco | Petit Marlowe

11 June

My absolute favorite restaurant group, Big Night, just opened yet another place for me to obsess over on the reg. Park Tavern will always be my true love, but I am overjoyed that Petit Marlowe celebrates Parisienne food, wine, and style. The Parisian-inspired wine bar and oysterette is more darling than I could have imagined. I have been patiently waiting while they work on this one for awhile now. My friend Jake is the creative director on the team and brings their beautiful restaurants to life with the most tasteful decor. His eye is insane…have you seen the champagne room at Park Tavern? That was him. For Petit Marlowe, BN team scoured French flea market finds; old-school bistro chairs and vintage utensils they’ve hung above tables, streetlamp-style globe fixtures, and the team’s biggest find, an antique bookcase with all original details.

Blush velvet seating surround the walls of the restaurant, a French farm table in back, candles, brass, marble? I mean, what else does a gal really need? Cannot wait to try: burrata with pea, mint and seeded bread, charcuterie boards, scallops, avocado toast… everything sounds amazing. You can check out the menu here. Here’s a little glimpse into the charming new spot…
