Hello hello! Hope you had a wonderful long weekend. I am so tired from all of the fun (and the heat!) but happy to be back at my desk. A lot going on this week leading up to a weekend in Tahoe (dropping off the pup, tear) before flying to Mexico next week. Excited to share more soon!

This is a funny post to follow a two-day, triple-digit heat wave, but hey! It’s almost fall, so why not start stocking up on the good stuff? Sweaters are pretty strong in my closet, they’re the key to the cool months. They’re the key to living in San Francisco! I have an affinity for hunting down knits that make an outfit sing, so I thought I would share a handful that I’ve added to my list. There’s nothing quite like being wrapped up in something beautifully made, to keep us warm all season. I picked up a couple recently to kick off my collection this year, both (pictured below) I can see myself wearing up a storm. I like to give myself the gift of 3-5 sweaters each year that will stand the test of time in my wardrobe. I don’t bother with anything cheap, besides Zara, because I feel like the quality really shows in sweaters. Pilling is not a good look. My favorite places to look for quality, investment pieces are Shopbop, Cuyana, Club Monaco, and Net-A-Porter.

This is a typical cold season uniform. A simple pair of denim (MIH is such a great brand for vintage inspired jeans) a subtle statement sweater (those trumpet sleeves, though), and a comfy heel.

I’m wearing: Cuyana sweater, M.I.H. Jeans, Charlotte Stone heels

I’m wearing: Isabel Marant Sweater, Flynn Skye Dress (sold out, but similar style), Charlotte Stone Heels

On Monday night, I threw on a new dress topped off with a sweater and a jewel-tone heel for date night. I loved this combination! A neutral knit, pop of Bordeaux and a touch of floral were made for each other. I’m really loving everything from Flynn Skye (a bunch of options here). Oh, and please excuse my denim marks on my legs… ha!

Charlotte Stone shoes are so comfortable and darling. I got them in the mail right before our trip to Healdsburg and was so happy with how much I could walk around and explore in them. They get so many compliments, too! These beauties are my absolute favorite. The color is so rich and decadent.

The timing of this post makes me giggle due to the fact that we’ve just recovered from a couple of ridiculously hot days in SF. But now I am also quite looking forward to sweater weather. Great recs!

I was debating this post or sharing my survival story over the last few days. 😉 It was not comfortable, but I will say, you don’t often get a chance at an 80º beachside hang @ 7pm, that was kind of amazing! Glad you made it through the triple digits, that breeze on Monday was very welcomed! 🙂

Love the sweater! I can’t wait for cooler weather

Love Cuyana and Club Monaco’s cashmere sweaters are to die for!! Also, the Charlotte Stone burgundy shoes are super cute! I’m envisioning them with super cute socks when the temp starts to drop.
