If there’s one thing in my closet that I always depend on this time of year, it’s booties. I just cannot get enough–– I live in them in fall/winter and am so excited about my new “Go West” suede booties from Tamara Mellon. They are so easy to slide on (sock style ankle) and are so incredibly comfortable. I’ve always been a fan of a narrow toe and western-esk styles, so am loving how this trend is everywhere now. They also come in a beautiful tan color, too, which I had a tough time deciding between the two. She just launched this mid-calf boot, too, that I am dying to get my hands on!
This is my second pair of shoes by Tamara Mellon, and I’ve become such a big fan. The quality is always excellent and she just makes such beautiful creations! They are so comfortable, versatile, and timeless––ticking off all of the aspects I look for in a closet mainstay. On top of their lovely styles and consistent comfort, I love their reliability, too –– they offer complimentary shoe care for 2 years so you can keep your shoes looking like new.
It’s Indian summer here in the city but I’ve noticed that the air is starting to feel crisper, so I’ve slowly been transitioning some fall things in the mix. I get really excited about all of the upcoming warm layered outfits, but there’s something special about this time of year and intertwining summer and fall. This weekend, I threw on my booties with a silk slip skirt, tee, and a boxy denim jacket for a fun lunch date with Matt in North Beach. I love the looks of sock booties with longer skirts and dresses and a boyfriend style jacket. Perfectly balancing femininity with a masculine touch. My goal for most outfits. I also wear them with cropped straight leg denim (so that the jeans go slightly longer than the top of the boot) and a big lush knit. They are so chic and timeless, I couldn’t love them more…
