5 Transitional Staples

This weekend we decided to visit our (hands down) favorite view in San Francisco. The first time I ever laid eyes on the bridge from The Overlook, I cried! It’s beautiful beyond words. It’s tucked between the Golden Gate Bridge and perched above Baker Beach, and when the light hits just right… there are simply no words. I’m working with a wine label I’m really enjoying, so we packed up a bottle and picnicked right around sunset before heading back for Sunday night football. Golden hour hues and calm (ish) winds were perfect for an Indian summer outing. I knew it was going to be slightly chillier since The Overlook is elevated and on the water, so I went for staples that never fail me for any season. They inspired this post!

I realized when looking back on our photos that these five pieces are all old, but have remained top contenders when considering outfits. They are all versatile, can be layered, and reliable always!

Leather Jacket | Eleven Paris (similar here and here)

Cropped Denim | M.I.H. Jeans

  1. Beautiful! Love your look.
The day I get to see the bridge in person would be the best day!

  2. Beautiful photos! I live in San Francisco, and I’m wondering how you get to this spot? Thanks!

    1. Hi Molly!

If you look at maps under the golden gate bridge, there’s a road called Merchant Rd right off of Lincoln. You park at “View Parking” – hopefully this link works to give you a better idea:
