The Best Brunch Spots in San Francisco

Note to self: planning a trip that ends on a Monday is always a grand idea. It’s so much easier to acclimate back into real life when there’s one less day standing between you and Friday. Our suitcase is still on the floor with clothes spilling out of it, so this means I have chores taking over most my weekend. We don’t have too much going the next couple of days, except a fun brunch with our friends on Sunday– which inspired this post!

I realized I’ve never really shared a formal list of all of my favorite brunch spots in San Francisco (which is kind of insane…). I’ve mostly just highlighted places individually. So, here it is! The official and ultimate guide (and what I order from the menu) to brunch in San Francisco…

Park Tavern
(North Beach)
avocado toast, deviled eggs, cast iron eggs, hummingbird cocktail (my go-to spot)

Presidio Social Club
(Presidio near Cow Hollow)
challah French toast, quiche of the day, Bellini

Outerlands
(Sunset)
Farm to table deliciousness

Diane’s Bloody Mary Bar (Mina Test Kitchen)
(Marina)
Order the omelet, it’s to die for. And the Dirty Diane Bloody.

Wooden Spoon
(Mission)
Beautiful setting and lots of delicious options (toasts, soft scrambled eggs, eggs benedict).

Zazie
(Cole Valley)
Pain de Mie French toast with orange cinnamon butter (their staple! slash it’s crack.)

The Snug
(Pacific Heights)
Now serving brunch! Avocado toast, eggs benedict and french toast look amazing.

Foreign Cinema
(Mission)
Organic ‘Pop Tarts’: rhubarb or Fuji apple (I don’t even like pop tarts, but damn!), balsamic fried eggs

Marlowe
(SOMA)
Baker’s wife cocktail, deviled eggs, french toast soldiers, seasonal scramble

Zuni Cafe
(Downtown)
fried egg sandwich, bellini

20th Century Cafe
(Hayes Valley)
I cannot get enough of their housemade everything bagel with cream cheese, cucumber, and avocado!

Marengo
(Cow Hollow)
their breakfast sliders are all so good! chicken and waffle, the “hangover” with an egg, mini lemon ricotta pancakes (you’re welcome), Bellini.

Rose’s Cafe
(Cow Hollow)
my favorite is always the spinach scramble on housemade toast with prosciutto, but their apple or strawberry french toast is also ridiculous, also… amazing bellini.

Beretta
(Mission)
french toast with mixed berries & mascarpone, prosciutto scramble.

The Garden Courtyard at The Palace
(Downtown)
Such a beautiful setting, maybe more so for a girl’s brunch. I love the Brioche French toast with berries, whipped ricotta, toasted almonds. Their egg dishes are great as well.

The Elite Cafe
(Pacific Heights)
beignets, “breakfast” biscuit, “tasso” scramble.

Fiorella
(Richmond District)
white peach bellini (see a theme here?), crostinis with pistachio butter and housemade strawberry jam, eggs sandwich.

Locanda
(Mission)
lemon ricotta pancakes (also my jam whenever on a menu)

Salumeria
(Potrero Hill)
“butcher creek” cocktail, avocado toast and a side of crispy bacon

The Tipsy Pig
(Marina)
goat cheese soft scramble, breakfast sandwich, dutch pancakes, and a “strawberry field” cocktail (…naturally)
