Editor’s Note, 4.20

I’m not superstitious…. but I’m a little stitious.
(when in doubt, Michael Scott)

Happy April 1st! Oh, how life as we know it (and vibe) has changed since my March note! I just have to say, that looking back on March, one thing I’m grateful for has been your messages coming in. Our fun chats on topics that are light and happy. The nice notes letting me know you look forward to my posts and that they bring you a sense of normalcy. That is keeping me going over here! It’s a super surreal time in our lives, but I am happy to have warm and encouraging people around me to connect with each week over the beautiful parts of life. So as always, thank you.

This month, for me, is going to be dedicated to distracting myself with home projects, organization, and stepping outside the box to share with you my styling process. I have all the time in the world to do so now, and since we’re all hunkered down at home, there’s never been a better time to dive deep into this topic. So please feel free to reach out at any point with questions, requests, etc.!

Inspired by

I just joined Masterclass and I’m so excited to learn a bevy of new things this next month! I watched the Anna Wintour class and felt so inspired, Masterclass has just done such a good job! I’ve quickly become a big fan of this company and look forward to diving into classes around cooking, wine, writing, photography and beyond. They are offering a buy one membership get a membership for free so one of my best friends and I split it!

A few things from the past to revisit

Such a good time to learn how to make your own latte at home (linked the tools I use, too!)
Treat yourself to my braised tomato burrata dish!
How I organize my small closet
My favorite candles… essential right now.

April Agenda

Besides social distancing… I look forward to blue sky roof top hangs, getting creative and plugging fun at-home ideas into our calendar on weekends, reading through some books, and I plan to go full-force nesting mode! I have felt like my place has been 80% done for a very long time and I am ready to bring that percentage closer to 100%. I am so impacted by my surrounding, so to have everything feeling organized, clean, and fresh will keep spirits bright over here! So here’s my plan –

Interior Plans

I am planning to do another timelapse styling video on Friday (like my flower arranging from a week back) on my bar cart. Showing how I layer and a few other tips!

Since we finally found the perfect rug for our bedroom, I can share all of the other contenders/gems that I’ve found as of late. It’s truly amazing how much a rug can impact a room and make it feel like brand new, so in case you’re in the market, you might enjoy this roundup coming tomorrow…

I haven’t been sleeping very well as of late, I feel like our (a random Amazon find) mattress topper has lost its luster over the years so I am looking to upgrade our bed in a few ways. Needing a new topper, duvet insert, and pillows as well. Everything else on our bed (all Parachute Home linen bedding) is just perfect as is. Couldn’t recommend them more if you’re loking for new bedding!

I am working with two companies (who you guys love!)… one coming up in a couple weeks where I will be sharing an updated home tour on IGTV and takeover/giveaway (I never do these but you will really enjoy this!) and updating a few areas of our home with the other brand. There will be an editorial home tour spread on my blog in a couple of months (which I plan to share the process of adding new things to our space along the way).

As a last note, I just want to say that this too shall pass, let’s make the most of this next month. Explore new hobbies, try new recipes, dance in our kitchens, open the windows for some fresh air, rearrange our space so it feels fresh and new, get lost in a good read, fall into a pinterest rabbit hole of inspiration. See the beauty every single day. Have a wonderful month, friend! xx

A few happy purchases lately
