For the ones who always welcome us into their home to share great food and wine. The friend who has mastered the art of multi-tasking and timing in the kitchen. The one who is always prompt to top off your glass right before you reach your last sip…
I like to step up my game a little bit for these gracious hosts in our lives. As much as it’s (clearly) in their DNA to throw these types of memorable evenings together (in a seemingly effortless manner), it’s a lot of work to host people! I appreciate these get together so much, especially as I get older. So, give a little extra love to those people who always out-do themselves to treat you!
Simple, but thoughtful goes a long way–like a candle or a cute wine stopper. A nice bottle of wine is always foolproof. Or something a little more, like a crystal ice bucket, kitchen linens, or a cheese knife set. I must say, this candle is absolute perfection for kitchens. It has this warm, lemony scent that makes me so happy.
I thought I would kick things off with host essentials since Thanksgiving is next week and these are also great ideas to give thanks to the one running the turkey day show. Cheers!
