Editor’s Note, 9.19

September, summer’s kiss goodbye.

September is always so inspiring to me. It’s the transition between my two favorite seasons… summer is always great for my spirit, but autumn is best for my soul. After feeling a bit burnt out the past few weeks, I look to September as a clean slate, a time to reboot and start anew. I have been feeling so much better––simply taking the pressure off and tidying up my life a bit made a world of difference. And now, we have a holiday ahead that will be the most ideal way to tie summer up with a bow. Lots of sunshine, slow mornings, waterside hangs, reading, pasta, and living in the moment.

I am bringing two books with me on our trip–– Ask and It Is Given (I made note of this via Jen Sincero’s You Are a Badass book, which is one of her favorites) and Daisy Jones and the Six. Trying to dabble in more fiction. Have you read either? I’ve heard such good things about both!

On my calendar

As you know by now, we are heading to Lake Como and Amalfi Coast this week for our honeymoon and will be away for a little over two weeks. Not many things plugged into the calendar beyond that now, but I know I will be excited to get back to work and start talking fall!
