Most wide, welcoming arms to the first day of summer! Let the longest day of the year commence. I am so excited… we timed a few trips perfectly and I’m ready for a refresh! Alas, the season of breezy fabrics, earthy textures (namely straw), sandals a go-go, lucite baubles (I just made that up), and shiny happy people. My thought process with summer wardrobes is pretty simple. I usually invest in a few things that feel timeless and I know I will still love next year. A few examples of good summer investments are swimsuits, denim shorts, nice linen staples (like a romper or dress), and a cool pair of shoes. Everything else (trends), I try and budget buy unless it’s something I can wear in other seasons as well.
