Cream with contrast

In a mood to experiment with the contents of my closet and took to Pinterest, as you do, to ignite some inspiration. It appears that my eyes are gravitating to a creamy palette at the moment, from the looks of my latest pins. Teamed with a cool contract piece—like a toffee suede or oversized pebble leather jacket, a sharp black bag or navy blue knit…. it’s giving equal parts crispy-clean and cool! This is pretty much the gist of how I like to dress 90% of the time. Always leaning on the quality basics—topped off with a nice statement to elevate—a jacket (that can be worn year round), a beautiful bag, a lush summer knit… the kind of equation that makes a wardrobe go round, if you ask me.

My personal favorite look from above is the top left. I ordered a pretty suede jacket recently, and am currently trying to hunt down a great off-white leather skirt so I can recreate this. Obsessed with the tones and textures of these pieces together. I also really love how silk and satin is everywhere right now. I went through such a massive silk phase in my early twenties… and I am all for a comeback.

Some favorites of late that fit the bill…
