Red Wines to Get from the Grocery Store

Last night I turned to my favorite recommendation source (you all via Instagram) and asked, what is your favorite easy weekday wine…

Those bottles we continue to buy from the grocery store to sip while cooking dinner during the week or while watching our favorite shows. I always have 2-5 favorites at a time that I will gravitate to until I find the next wine of the moment. There are some on constant rotation, and others I will take a break from, but come back for more later on. I thought I would share my current top favorites with you, and then the most popular recommendations I got from stories!

Sharing is caring, especially when it’s wine. My door is always open if you come across a delicious light and juicy pinot (personal favorite varietal)… and I’m always excited to share my finds as well and will continue to do so.

My top favorites right now

The Paring Pinot Noir.  I pick this one up at Plumpjack (if you’re an SF local), and it’s just such a perfect easy weekday sip. I mentioned my preference in tasting note above, and this one delivers. It’s $25 I believe, so not something I buy every single week, but when I am passing by Plumpjack and want to treat myself, this one is a good one!

Banshee Pinot Noir. Another one from Plumpjack (around $23), but I feel like I’ve seen it at Safeway, too. Regardless, it’s pretty common to spot this one, and it’s always a win in my book. A few of you recommended this as well!

2017 Commuter Cuvée Pinot Noir. One of my favorites whenever I am stopping into Epicurean Trader. It’s so light and juicy… such a delicious wine! Around $20.

Chalk Hill Pinot Noir. As you know, I love me some CH.
